From TV30: TV30’s Seventh Annual Outstanding High School Athletic Awards event took place on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Robert Livermore Community Center. Sixty-four total awards were presented. The high school “Player of the Week” awards to athletes, the schools themselves, and the “Coach of the Year” were honored for their accomplishments. Sponsored by Tri-Valley Community Television and its Foundation, the event featured guest speaker, Bip Roberts.
Introduced by Tim Sbranti, Mr. Roberts was an MVP in Major League Baseball and former standout player for the San Diego Padres and the Oakland A’s. He is now the color commentator on television for the A’s.

Each week throughout the 2016-17 school season, an outstanding varsity high school athlete was selected and highlighted on TV30’s weekly sports program, “Tri-Valley Sports Final.” Those student/athletes and their families were invited to attend the awards ceremony and reception. Over 300 people came including Dublin Mayor David Haubert, Livermore Mayor John Marchand, Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne, Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty and LVJUSD president, Craig Bueno.
