Papa Murphy’s Closes After 25 Years In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — After 25 years in Pleasanton, Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza closed Tuesday night, according to employees. The restaurant, which was remodeled in 2017, sold custom take-and-bake pizzas, salad and desserts.

Joelle Higgins, who owned the business for more than 12 years, thanked longtime customers in a note posted on the door of the pizzeria. Higgins said she intends to spend more time with her children.

"Thank you to our wonderful customers for the many, many years we have had the honor to serve pizza to you and your family! We will be closing at the end of January after 12 years of being the owner and 25 years in business as a Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza.

"I’ve seen your kids grow up, get married and some even now have kids of their own. It is with sadness that I say goodbye, but my kids are now at the age where I want to spend more time with them before they no longer want to be around me."

Papa Murphy’s was located at 1991 Santa Rita Rd. in the Mission Plaza shopping center.
