Man Struck And Killed By Vehicle In Pleasanton
Police were investigating a collision that left one man dead in Pleasanton on Friday.
PLEASANTON, CA — A man died in Pleasanton after he was struck by a vehicle Friday, police said in a Saturday news release. The man was walking on Johnson Drive near Owens Drive when he was hit at 7:40 p.m.
The driver called 911 immediately and reported the collision to Pleasanton police, who responded to the scene. The crash closed portions of Johnson Drive for five hours as police investigated.
The man was treated by paramedics before he was rushed to Eden Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. His and the driver's names were not released.

It has not been determined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision and police are still investigating the matter, officials said.
