Pleasanton City Council: 6 Candidates Compete For 2 Seats
Two city council seats are open to newcomers as the incumbents are running for mayor.
PLEASANTON, CA — Voters are casting ballots for seven candidates seeking to fill two seats on the Pleasanton City Council.
Councilmembers Karla Brown and Jerry Pentin, whose terms expire this month, are declining to seek another term as both are running to serve the city as mayor.
The council candidates are: Nancy Allen, businesswoman; Valerie Arkin, Pleasanton Unified School District board member; Jack Balch, certified public accountant; Randy Brown, businessman; Jarod Buna, attorney; Zarina Kiziloglu, student life coordinator; and Chiman Lee, businessman.
