Pleasanton Father's Day Spirit Run 2018: Road Closures, Race Info

PLEASANTON, CA — Several roads in downtown Pleasanton will be closed and parking will be restricted for the Rotary Club of Pleasanton's annual Father's Day Spirit Run on Sunday. The popular event, which was part of the Pleasanton Heritage Days, started in 1994.

According to the Rotary, the 10K Race will start at 8 a.m., with the 5K Run and Walk beginning at 8:10 a.m. The Kids' Challenge events will begin around 9:30 a.m. Check-in and race-day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Workbench True Value Hardware located at 652 Main St.

The following roads will be closed:

No Parking/Tow Away zone on June 17 from 5 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:

• Main Street from Del Valle to Rose/Neal, both sides of street.

No Parking/Tow Away zone on June 17 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.:

• Rose Avenue between Main Street and Peters, both sides of street.
• Rose Avenue between Peters and Pleasanton Avenue, north side of street.
• Rose Avenue between Pleasanton Avenue and Fair Street, south side of street (track side)
• Eastbound Del Valle from Hopyard to Main Street, south side of street only.
• St. Mary from Division Street to Main Street, south side only.

Entry fees on Race Day:

• Kids’ Challenge - $15.00
• 5K Ages 18 and over: $45.00
• 5K Ages 17 and under: $40.00
• 10K Ages 18 and over: $45.00
• 10K Ages 17 and under: $40.00

Those who have sent in registration forms (and entry fee) that are POSTMARKED no later than June 9, or registered online by June 14, may pick up their race packet and T-shirts at Fleet Feet Sports of Pleasanton, 234#A Main Street, Pleasanton, Friday, June 15, from Noon-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Spirit Run online registration will close at 10:00 p.m., June 13. After the deadline dates, registration will only be available on the day of the race.

Race-day registration opens 6:30 a.m., 10K starts at 8:00 a.m., 5K follows at 8:10 a.m., and the Kids’ Dashes will commence at 9:30 a.m.
