Pleasanton To Keep 2 DMV Offices As Walnut Creek Branch Closes
The second Pleasanton DMV office initially opened as a temporary site in July as the original field office underwent renovations.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton will get two Department of Motor Vehicles offices, as the Walnut Creek DMV will not renew its lease there.
Pleasanton's DMV locations will be open at 6300 W. Las Positas Blvd. and 2621 Stoneridge Mall Road, Unit G225B. The Stoneridge Mall location opened in July and was initially intended to be a temporary one as the Las Positas location underwent renovations over the summer.
The Stoneridge Mall office will close 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and reopen Nov. 23 as office equipment is transferred into the site.

The DMV continues to suggest that people use online services when possible.
“We have recently made many alternatives available for our customers,” said DMV Director Steve Gordon in a news release. “Most DMV transactions can now be completed without visiting a field office by using our expanded online services, kiosks, business partners or mail.”
