Pleasanton Opens Cooling Center Amid Heat Wave

Pleasanton remains under an excessive heat warning until Friday afternoon.

PLEASANTON, CA — As Pleasanton neared triple-digit temperatures Thursday, the city announced plans to open a cooling center during the hottest hours of the day.

The cooling center will open from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Pleasanton Senior Center (5353 Sunol Blvd.).

  • Face mask and social distancing requirements (face masks available)
  • Health screenings upon entry
  • Bottled water

Anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19 or is exhibiting symptoms should not go to the center.
