The city of Livermore is also opting to now enforce a face coverings order to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Anyone who fails to comply could be fined $100. City staff will be keeping an eye on downtown, reminding people that face coverings are required at all times, except when eating or drinking at an outdoor table, the city said.

Disposable face coverings will be handed out to those in need.

"We will continue to remain flexible, monitor the situation, and make adjustments as needed," the city said.
