Police Seek Man Who Asked Girl To Get In Car: PPD
Investigators are looking for witnesses and neighborhood surveillance camera footage.
PLEASANTON, CA — Police in Pleasanton are asking for the public’s help identifying a driver who asked a girl to get into his car Saturday. An 11-year-old girl was riding her bicycle in the area of Chardonnay and Touriga drives around 2 p.m. when a black sedan pulled up next to her, police said.
The man asked the girl if she wanted to get into his car, according to police. She turned onto Touriga Drive and reported the encounter with her father, who called the Pleasanton Police Department.
The driver is described as an Indian male in his early 30s. The witness told police he had a full beard, and was wearing a black turban with a black long-sleeved shirt. Police said the car is described as an older black Toyota Camry or Jaguar with either a green or purple Clean Air Vehicle decal on the rear bumper.
