Indie rock, high-end dining, and school supporters to converge at the Firehouse Arts Center.

Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE) will host a cutting-edge benefit concert and auction at the Firehouse Arts Center in downtown Pleasanton on Thursday, October 1.
“We’re really excited to host our fall event at the Firehouse Arts Center,” said PPIE Executive Director Susan Hayes. “Education is important in our community so the chance to hold the event in the heart of downtown is a great opportunity.”
The event will feature live music of Bay Area indie rock band TEN CAR TRAIN, gourmet food provided by Valley Catering, and a no-host bar sponsored by The Cellar Door.

The rock show fundraiser concept isn’t new to PPIE or TEN CAR TRAIN. The band’s strong ties to Pleasanton inspired them to perform a successful fundraiser for the foundation at Handles Gastropub in 2014.
“Our show for PPIE last year was an incredible experience and we wanted to do it again and make it even more special,” said Pleasanton resident David Stark, who sings and plays bass for TEN CAR TRAIN.

Attendees won’t go home empty handed thanks to the wide variety of auction items, ranging from jewelry, sports activities and catered dinners hosted by local restaurateurs to a seven-night stay in a private home in Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Doors open to the general public at 6:30 pm and tickets must be purchased in advance at www.ppie.org. General admission tickets are $40 per person and the event features a limited number of VIP package tickets available at $100 each, which includes a pre-concert reception beginning at 6:00 pm backstage with the band, as well as special balcony seating upstairs during the performance.
