Ptownlife Seeking New Applicants For Growing Web Team

Pleasanton is currently accepting applications for the Ptownlife.org web team, open to all teens entering grades 8-12.

From PTown Life: The City of Pleasanton is currently accepting applications for the Ptownlife.org web team, open to all Pleasanton residents entering grades 8 through 12 in the fall of 2017. Ptownlife.org serves teens and families with children of all ages, providing a bridge between the community and an array of activities, services and resources, as well as youth job and volunteer opportunities.

The site’s web team comprises Pleasanton teens who work with staff on design and content and assist with overall site management and marketing. Students gain valuable work experience while they report on new and interesting things happening in the community, take photos and write articles for the site.

To be considered for the opportunity, interested students must be willing to commit to:

• a one-year term (from August 2017 to August 2018) to ensure website consistency

• 1.5 hours per week working on the website in city offices

• two mandatory trainings scheduled in August 2017 and January 2017 (dates TBD)

Return completed application, along with a work sample, to Gingerbread Preschool at 4333 Black Avenue, or email to info@ptownlife.org All applications will be reviewed and qualified participants will be contacted for interviews to be scheduled on May 16 and May 18 from 4 – 5 p.m.
