'She Made So Many Sacrifices': Pleasanton Mother's Day Photos

PLEASANTON, CA — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across California to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

Pleasanton resident Samantha Van de Roovaart sent us this lovely photo of her with her mom, Krissy Balch.

"I am so thankful and blessed to have my mom. She made so many sacrifices to allow me the opportunity to live in a beautiful town, provide me an amazing education and gave me everything I needed and more as I was growing up. She is my hero, the woman I look up to and aspire to be, and my very best friend."
