Special Olympics Track and Volleyball

The Amador Valley Athletic Boosters hosted Special Olympics Tournaments last Saturday with 13 Track Teams and 10 Volleyball teams.

The Amador Valley Athletic Boosters hosted the Annual East Bay Track and Volleyball Tournaments last Saturday with 13 Track Teams and 10 Volleyball teams.

Over 350 volunteers, including student and parents from Amador Valley and Foothill High Schools and Hart, Harvest Park and Pleasanton Middle schools volunteered for the event, as well as volunteers from the National Charity League, Boys Team Charity, Young Men's Service League and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Opening Ceremonies included Macey Fisher of AVHS, who sang the National Anthem, the Pleasanton Police Dept Color Guard, Kathy Narum of the City Council welcomed the athletes and former 49er Tight end, Greg Clark spent the day presenting awards to the athletes.
