Spring Storms Will Bring Rain, Wind Gusts To East Bay: NWS
The first storm will likely impact the evening commute, according to the National Weather Service.
EAST BAY, CA — An early spring rainstorm will lead to a mess for Monday evening's commute, but no major impacts are expected for Bay Area waterways, according to the National Weather Service. The front is slowly moving through the North Bay and is expected to stay north of the Golden Gate Bridge through noon Monday, at which point the storm will begin to move through the immediate Bay Area, meteorologist Ryan Walbrun said.
"For late March, it's crummy weather," he said.
The evening commute will see water pond on roadways and gusty winds through Monday night, with showers continuing through the day on Tuesday. Winds will gust 20-30 mph in the immediate Bay Area from Monday to Wednesday.

As much as 1-2 inches may fall in the coastal North Bay, 0.5-1 inch could fall in the North Bay valleys/Santa Cruz mountains and 0.2-0.4 inches is expected in the immediate Bay Area.
Thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, meteorologists said.
