Tri-Valley Seeks Input on Emergency Preparedness

"We are asking everyone who lives in the Tri-Valley to help us be able to respond more effectively in an emergency," said Adam Weinstein.

From the City of Pleasanton: A Tri-Valley partnership of cities and agencies is developing a Tri-Valley Hazard Mitigation Plan to better coordinate and streamline the region’s emergency preparedness efforts and is seeking community feedback input through the attached survey.

“We are asking everyone who lives in the Tri-Valley to help us be able to respond more effectively in an emergency,” said Adam Weinstein, planning manager for the City of Pleasanton.

The federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 emphasizes the importance of planning for disasters before they occur. To aid this effort, Tri-Valley cities and agencies have banded together to develop a Tri-Valley Hazard Mitigation Plan to reduce risks associated with any natural disasters, such as flooding, earthquakes or landslides, to name a few.
