Widmer-World Open For 2018 Season
Find out when Santa will be visiting and posing for free photos.

PLEASANTON, CA — One of the East Bay’s most popular holiday light displays opened in Pleasanton on Dec. 1. Widmer-World is and always has been a family affair made up of a tireless crew of Bob Widmer's children, their spouses, grandchildren and a few close family friends.
Retired software consultant Bob Widmer, who has been decorating his yards since 1981, makes all of the wooden displays and moving carousels on the property. Planning and preparation starts months before opening night and each season Widmer adds a fun, new element or changes the displays.
In 2015, Widmer-World was featured on the popular television series "The Great Christmas Light Fight" on ABC. Widmer-World is located at 3671 Chelsea Court in Pleasanton. The display will be open nightly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Dec. 31.

Cash donations are accepted to help offset the cost of providing free pictures with Santa and the presumably hefty PG&E bill. According to the Widmer-World website, any extra donations over the costs of electricity and St. Nick are forwarded on to the family's favorite charities.
Santa will be visiting Widmer-World and will be available for complimentary photos. Check the Facebook pages for dates.
