2015 Holiday Viewing Guide: How To Catch The Classics On TV

Everyone has a favorite movie that they watch every year with their family, friends or on their own in and around the holiday season.

Classics like “A Christmas Story,” “Elf” or “Christmas Vacation“ have become mainstays in living rooms and theaters across America from Thanksgiving to New Year’s.

Some have even been turned into musicals for a new twist on holiday classics.

This year, for example, you can see “A Christmas Story” up the road at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.

But if you can’t make it out, you have plenty of options for catching your favorites on the tube.

TV Guide released a 2015 holiday viewing guide to help you find out when and where the holiday classics will be on TV.

Here are some of the highlights (all times Pacific):

• December 2, 5 p.m., ABC

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”

• December 1, 3 p.m., ABC Family

“Elf”

• December 1, 5 p.m., ABC Family

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”

• December 9, 5 p.m., CBS

“It’s a Wonderful Life”

• December 24, 6 p.m., NBC
