$20K In Stolen Tools Recovered From Peninsula Burglary: Cops
Though the evidence was recovered, the suspect remains on the run, the sheriff's office said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's deputies are searching for the suspect of a commercial burglary that occurred Sunday night, sheriff's officials said.
Deputies saw the suspect get into a vehicle at about 10:41 p.m. as deputies arrived at the scene of the ongoing burglary at Lazar Machining, which is located at 299 Old County Road in San Carlos. The suspect drove away and deputies chased the vehicle until it went south on U.S. Highway 101.
A deputy sheriff was able to locate the vehicle parked and unoccupied in Redwood City and it was determined that the license plates on the vehicle were stolen and the vehicle itself was stolen from Burlingame on Aug. 22.

Sheriff's officials said an extensive search for the suspect in the surrounding area was fruitless, but an estimated $20,500 worth of stolen tools were recovered and returned to the business.
The stolen vehicle will be returned to its owner after it is processed for evidence.

The suspect is described as a bald black man, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark colored pants and white shoes.
