Caltrain Fatally Strikes Pedestrian

This is the third fatality this year.

A northbound Caltrain struck and killed a pedestrian near Virginia St. in San Jose this afternoon. 

This is the third fatality of the year that has taken place along the Caltrain corridor. All three still remain under investigation. 

There was one passenger onboard the #263 train, which had just departed Tamien station to begin its Northbound service.

Trains are able to single track through the area. Passengers traveling south of Diridon should expect a delay due to speed reductions through the incident site. The bus bridge is on hold.
