Caltrain To Provide Free Rides To San Mateo County Vaccine Sites
Beginning Monday, anyone showing proof of a vaccine appointment or a vaccination card will be able to board a train for free.

BAY AREA, CA — Caltrain is providing free rides for anyone traveling to receive a COVID-19 vaccination within Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco counties.
Beginning Monday, anyone showing proof of a vaccine appointment or a vaccination card will be able to board a train for free. The policy will be in place until further notice.
“Since the onset of the pandemic, Caltrain has helped ensure essential workers and transit-dependent riders can remain mobile and get to where they need to go,” said Michelle Bouchard, Caltrain’s Chief Operating Officer of Rail, in a news release. “By offering free rides to and from vaccinations, we hope to remove cost barriers so that everyone across the three counties we serve has access to the vaccine.”
