Firefighters Rescue Man From Cliff Off Peninsula Beach: Photos
Firefighters used a high angle rope rescue system to bring the person to a waiting ambulance.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Firefighters rescued a person from a cliff at Montara State Beach on Monday night along the San Mateo County coastside, briefly shutting down Highway 1.
The incident was reported on the Cal Fire CZU Twitter account just before 10 p.m. Firefighters used a high angle rope rescue system to bring the person to a waiting ambulance. Around 10:45 p.m., Cal Fire reported that the person had been successfully rescued.
