Father’s Day is fast approaching and if you still don’t know what to get the man who has everything, how about the gift of spending time with dad?
Here’s a guide to some fun activities for some dad time in Peninsula.
Hiller Aviation Museum Dad Day

For the Mad Dogs and Mavericks in your life, take him to the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.
Dad can pilot through the Bay Area in a flight simulator. There are also more than 40 unique aircraft on display along with interactive games.

Museum times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $14 for adults, $9 for children 5 to 17 years of age. Dads are free if you buy tickets through Red Tricycle.
Pontoon Safari at Elkhorn Slough
For the adventurist environmentalist dads, take him on a pontoon excursion with the Marine Science Institute.
Dad can learn first hand about one of California’s most dynamic estuaries, a rest stop for migratory birds, home for otters and seals along with thousands of plants and animals.
Excursions start at 9 a.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Elkhorn Slough. Tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for children 3 to 10 years of age.
Palo Alto World Music Day
For the music lover dads, take him to the Seventh Annual Palo Alto World Music Day.
Dad can enjoy music and performers from jazz, blues, classical to Greek, Balkan and Indian and more.
Musicians of all ages (an presumably all skill levels) are invited to join in.
The event starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at King Plaza. Admission is free.
Father’s Day BikeAbout 2015
Take dad to the zoo this Father’s Day, just like old times. But this time, you and dad can bike around the San Francisco Zoo on a docent-led, hour-and-a half-long tour.
The tour ends with a continental breakfast. The event is expect to sell out.
The BikaAbout starts at 8:30 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. Registrations are $25 for zoo members and $30 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required. Zoo admission and parking are included in the registration.
Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. Father’s Day Special
Enjoy dad’s favorite beverage with him at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. The brewery has a special Father’s Day menu all day long.
Dads can receive a free growler with purchase of an entree, while supplies last. The average price for an entree is around $18.
