Good Samaritan Killed Helping Hurt Motorist In San Mateo: CHP
The person had pulled over to help someone involved in a crash when they were in turn hit by another vehicle, according to the CHP.

SAN MATEO, CA — A motorist who pulled over to help another person involved in a crash along Highway 101 in San Mateo early Friday morning was struck and killed by a vehicle that then fled the scene, the California Highway Patrol reports.
The good Samaritan was hit around 2 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway, near the Third Avenue offramp, according to preliminary CHP logs.
It all started at 1:54 a.m. when a single car, a Scion, crashed into the center median and ended up blocking the number one lane, according to the CHP. Two other cars, a Ford and a Mercedes, then hit that stalled Scion.
