'Junior Giants' Sign-Ups: Free PAL League Begins In June
Organized by the San Mateo police organization, the 8-week season is open to youngsters from 5 to 13. Play Ball!

SAN MATEO, CA – Spring baseball sign-ups are underway for the "Junior Giants" San Mateo PAL program, a collaboration between the San Mateo Police Department and Park and Recreation Department.
The free league, for children from 5 to 13 years old, fund for eight weeks, with practices beginning June 11, and opening day set for June 16.
Volunteer parent coaches and team parents are also invited to participate.

"The Junior Giants Program is more than baseball," said SM PAL. "Over the eight weeks, players participate in character development, education, health, and bullying prevention. We end the season with a Junior Giants Festival in August for all players."
