PG&E Relocating Natural Gas Pipeline In San Mateo

The agency is moving the pipeline for the Caltrain 25th Ave. Grade Separation Project.

From PG&E: On Monday, May 21, PG&E will begin relocating a natural gas pipeline in San Mateo for Caltrain’s 25th Avenue Grade Separation project.

Our work will be on South Delaware Street between 25th Avenue and Pacific Boulevard from 7:30 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

To safely complete this work, motorists may experience minor delays during work hours due to lane closures on South Delaware Street from 25th Avenue to Derby Avenue.

The grade separation project has been a goal of Caltrain and the City of San Mateo for many years. The project will raise the tracks and lower the road at E. 25th Avenue and complete east-west connections at 28th and 31st Avenues. In addition, a new, modernized Hillsdale station is scheduled to open in 2019.
