San Mateo County Extends Park Hours, Resumes Some Services
On April 16, park hours will be extended, with parks closing at 7 p.m. Beginning May 1, parks will close at 8 p.m.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County residents will be able to enjoy their local parks a little bit longer during the day in the coming weeks, along with some services resuming.
On April 16, park hours will be extended, with parks closing at 7 p.m. Beginning May 1, parks will close at 8 p.m. Currently, parks close at 5 p.m.
The Bicycle Sunday program, during which a 3.8 segment of Crystal Springs Regional Trail closes for non-motorized activities, will resume on May 2.

A couple of areas will reopen in May: The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve on May 3 and Memorial County Park on May 28.
Additionally, drop-in picnic sites remain open. Group picnic reservations are available for May 1 through June 14.

"Rangers and Parks staff are counting on every visitor to help keep these extended hours and reinstated services intact by following COVID-19 safety protocols which include maintaining at least six feet of distance from those not in one’s household," county officials said in a statement.
