SAN MATEO, CA — A gas main break closed 21st Avenue Thursday afternoon in San Mateo while PG&E worked on repairs.

The street was closed to traffic between Palm Avenue and South El Camino Real. According to a news advisory, one lane on northbound South El Camino Real was closed at 21st Avenue.

Delays were expected for a couple of hours.
