San Mateo Grocery Store Manager Accused Of Sex Crimes On Workers
Prosecutors said the manager supervised the two employees, aged 29 and 37, and threatened to fire them if they reported the incident.
SAN MATEO, CA — A manager of La Hacienda Market in San Mateo was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting his employees.
According to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office, the manager, 43-year-old Fernando Martinezagustin of San Mateo, is accused of groping and digitally penetrating two women over four months from late last year through March.
Martinezagustin faces 11 felony counts, including seven sexual battery and three digital penetration counts. Prosecutors said Martinezagustin supervised the two employees, aged 29 and 37, and threatened to fire them if they reported the incident.

Martinezagustin admitted to some of the crimes in a recorded call with one of the victims after one woman did report to the police.
Martinezagustin is being held in custody on $700,000 bail.
