San Mateo UHSD Board Election 2020: Live Updates

San Mateo voters have cast their ballots for two open seats on the San Mateo Union High School District Governing Board.

SAN MATEO, CA — Incumbents Greg Land and disability rights activist Ligia Andrade Zuniga led San Mateo Union High School District Governing Board race in the "semi-official" results of the race as of Wednesday morning according to San Mateo County elections officials.

The Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder and Chief Elections Officer said in a statement on its website that the results as of 1:22 a.m. are not final, and that it expects to report its next update Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
"There are still many ballots to count," the statement said.
Land the led a field of three candidates vying for two seats with 41,739 votes (38.20 percent) and Zuniga garnered 39,868 votes. Finance executive Neal Kaufman was in third place (27,664).
