San Mateo 'United Against Hate' Rally Planned For Saturday

SAN MATEO, CA — A “united against hate” rally is planned in San Mateo’s Central Park on Saturday.

The rally is part of a national slate of events and is being held by Communities United. According to the event page, the rally asks for representatives from “all communities, including but not limited to the API, Black, Latino, Native American, and LGBTQ+ communities, in each and every city in San Mateo County,” to “join us in the fight against the desecration and dehumanization of marginalized groups.”

The rally is planned to start at 11 a.m.

“Through the strength of our unity, we hope to initiate real, actionable change that will lead to a more safe, just and inclusive San Mateo County,” the event description reads.

Similar rallies are planned in Oakland and Fremont on Saturday.
