San Mateo's Hillsdale Caltrain Station Opens Next Week
The station has been closed since May 2020 due to a grade separation project.

SAN MATEO, CA — Caltrain’s Hillsdale Station in San Mateo is scheduled to open on April 26, the transit agency announced on Monday.
The station has been closed since May 2020 due to a grade separation project and trains have been stopping at the Belmont Station instead, with shuttle service to Hillsdale. The project aims to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists and reduce traffic congestion in San Mateo.
According to Caltrain, the new, elevated station has moved approximately four blocks to the north at 28th Avenue in San Mateo. It also has a center-boarding platform, pedestrian underpass, a sheltered waiting area with seating, two parking lots and bicycle eLockers and racks.
