San Mateo County Offering COVID Vaccine To Youth Ages 12 And Up

All Pfizer vaccination sites operated by the county will offer COVID vaccines to the newly-approved age group.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County announced that all of its clinics offering the Pfizer COVID vaccine would be open to anyone over the age of 12 beginning Thursday.

The Food and Drug Administration cleared the way for those as young as 12 years old to receive the Pfizer vaccine earlier this week, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended its use on Wednesday.

Anyone under 18 needs parental consent to get vaccinated. On Wednesday, Stanford Children's Health also announced it would be offering the Pfizer vaccine to those between 12 and 17.
