SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — The San Francisco International Airport will offer COVID-19 vaccines to all workers and their families onsite next week.

The airport is partnering with Safeway to offer the Pfizer vaccine. The clinic will be located on the departures level of the International Terminal from May 11 to 13, and three weeks later another clinic will be planned for the second dose.

Airport workers include those working at airlines, concessions, service providers and rental car companies. Flight crews, construction workers and contractors are included as well.

SFO has previously served as a drive-through mass vaccination center for San Mateo County residents and workers, inoculating over 12,000 people over a four-day period in February. The airport has also served as a testing site throughout the pandemic.

“Throughout this pandemic, our priority has been the health and safety of our both passengers and employees,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero in a news release. “SFO launched the nation’s first onsite rapid COVID testing clinic for airport workers, and we are now proud to partner with Safeway to provide a convenient onsite vaccination option, available to all airport employees and their families.”
