Thanksgiving 2017: This Is California's Favorite Side Dish
Green bean casserole may not be as popular on the Thanksgiving dinner table as you think. And California's pick may surprise you.

Turkey steals the show on many American Thanksgiving tables, but for many, it’s all about the side dishes, appetizers and the pies — pumpkin, blueberry and pecan, but sweet potato and pot pies, too. And it’s not Thanksgiving without sausage balls in Alabama and Tennessee, peanut butter cookies in Indiana or chicken spaghetti in Texas, according to an analysis of top recipe searches for the holiday broken down by state.
But what about here in California? As many gather for Thanksgiving on Thursday — or perhaps plan a 'Friendsgiving' celebration before or after the holiday — you may be wondering what the majority of your neighbors are looking to cook up.
Apparently, we're a mac-and-cheese kind of crowd.
