ToyXpo, Santa Clara Convention Center, Now that ToysRUs left us!
SEE TOYS! August 24-26, Celebrity event for kids, (like Comic Con, lower price, kids FREE)
After watching ToysRUs go out of business, (ouch! Where do we actually see toys now?), I was looking for fun for families, all generations, and extended family. Our kids grew up at ToysRUs. We're all sad / depressed that it's gone, even the web store. Poof! Then I notice this ToyXpo event in August (24-26) at the Santa Clara Convention Center, which I've never heard of. The website shows a full schedule of entertainment, plenty of celebrities (and you can buy photo ops), LOTS OF TOYS TO TRY OUT, contests, cos-play, and it seems a lot like ComiCon. And I thought, uh oh, big price tag. But NO, adult tickets are $10 to $25 (per day), and KIDS ARE FREE (with an adult). I got excited! So I thought, others will want to know about this too.
