The Crystal Springs Young Men's Service League had a great philanthropy day doing their Ultimate Gift Project by helping the Phoenix Garden. YMSL boys and their mothers made a bench made of recycled water bottles and recycled cardboard box bricks. They also revitalized and planted the garden and installed sheet mulching and a drip irrigation at the San Mateo County Youth Center. The Phoenix Garden will make it possible for children and youth with traumatic childhood experiences to benefit from exposure to nature and specialized therapy that incorporates gardening.
