2 War Veterans to be Honored at Free Veteran's Day Concert

Bethel bandleader Billy Michael will perform a free concert with Brookfield-based teen performers, "The Veteranettes."

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Museum and Historical Society is hosting "A Musical Salute to Veterans" concert at the Brookfield Library on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Brookfield Public Library's Community Room, 182 Whisconier Road (Rt. 25), Brookfield.

Billy Michael and his "J & B Lite" band will perform the free concert to honor local Brookfield and area veterans. This is the 13th annual event which is sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society and the Brookfield Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 10201.

Michael, Bethel bandleader, and friends will present a selection of popular and patriotic music and will be joined by Brookfielders Arianna Carlo, Anna Bishop and Maddy Oldham, all from Brookfield, appearing as "The Veteranettes," who will provide female vocal accompaniment.

Two wartime area veterans will be honored for their military service. Following the performance complimentary refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend to support our veterans and the local men and women currently serving in the Armed Forces. For more information visit www.brookfieldcthistory.org.
