Art School Hosts Valentine Workshops for Kids, Couples & Singles

BROOKFIELD, CT — Grab your friends and head over to the Arts & Nature School of Ridgefield for three days of Valentine's fun. The school is offering adult workshops for couples and singles as well as three children's Valentine-themed workshops in the week leading up to Valentine's Day.

On Friday, Feb. 9, French native Nathalie Dunn will lead a Valentine's chocolate truffle making workshopfrom 7:00-9:00 p.m. Make some sweets for your sweetheart this Valentine's Day or keep them for yourself. Filled with espresso, liqueurs and other flavors, this class is sure to satiate your sweet tooth. Tickets are $40 each which includes a box to decorate and light refreshments. On Saturday, Feb. 10, the school has three back-to-back workshops planned for kids from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and a Paint & Sip in the evening from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. for adults only. Workshop times are as follows:

• Chocolate Valentine's Lollipop Workshop, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., $20 per student
• Valentine's Card Making, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., $20 per student
• Paint-Your-Own Wooden Heart-Shaped Box or Wood Treasure Chest, 1:00-2:30 p.m., $25 per student

"Flirtinis & Fondue Paint & Sip" will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. The cost is $75 per couple which includes two canvases, all supplies and step-by-step instructions on how to make a two-piece lovebird painting. You and your partner will choose either the right or the left side to paint. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverage and snacks. The studio will have a chocolate fondue fountain with fruit and pretzel dippers as well as Valentine-themed refreshments.

Singles don't have to be alone this Valentine's Day. A "Love Stinks Singles Night Paint & Sip" will be held on the evening of Valentine's Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Enjoy chocolate fondue and festive refreshments. The cost is $45 per person and guests are welcome to bring their own beverage. Who knows? You may just meet your special sweetheart.
