Brookfield Bridge to Close 2 Weekends in October

The state Department of Transportation is advising local motorists of two upcoming closures for the Route 133 bridge.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The state Department of Transportation is advising local motorists of two upcoming closures for the Route 133 bridge.

The roadway, connecting Brookfield and Bridgewater, will be closed and detoured beginning Friday, Oct. 11 at 10:00 p.m. This closure and detour will remain in effect through the weekend until 05:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Detours will be in place utilizing Routes 67, 7/202 and 25.

The DOT has also announced a second closure, beginning Friday, Oct. 18 at 10:00 p.m. and remaining in effect until 5:00 a.m. Monday, Oct 21.
