The town could lose three soccer fields due to building developments.

BROOKFIELD, CT — With three of the town's soccer fields at risk, local officials are searching for a new home for the fields, reports the News Times. Due to building projects, the town's Facilities Ad Hoc Committee has been meeting to find new spots for the fields.
The potential expansion of the police station would expand onto a soccer field, the library's proposal for a larger facility would be placed on the Municipal Center's field, and the Schmidt Corn Field is also for sale.
