Brookfield Library Presents 'Just Jazz' On The North Lawn

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Library Concert Committee will be presenting The Silver Fox Trio featuring Rhonda Denet for its first 2021 live concert.

The concert is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. on the library's North Lawn.

The concert, "Just Jazz," will feature songs from the 30s, 40s and 50s. This showcase celebrates music from the Great American Songbook with songs found on the radio, stage, and screen. It highlights popular standards by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and the Gershwins, and made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat “King” Cole, Frank Sinatra, and others. June’s concert is a memorial tribute to Walt Fisher, one of the Concert Committee’s founding members, who passed away in early 2020.

Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets. Parking is limited. Social distancing will be recommended. Those who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus are advised to wear a mask.
