Brookfield Library Will Present Traditional Mariachi Band

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Library will be presenting an authentic mariachi band, along with traditional Mexican dancers, as part of its "One Town, One Read" series.

Mariachi band Fiesta del Norte will be performing the traditional folk and popular music of Mexico at the library on the Lawn by Arbor on Sat., May 1, from 3-5 p.m.

The band plays on authentic instruments such as guitar, vihuela, guitarron, violin, trumpet, with singing throughout. Song translations, storytelling and cultural insights are interwoven between musical numbers.

Seating space will be limited to ensure social distancing. Masks will be required.
