Brookfield Museum Hosts Book Signing

Monday September 10th at 7:30

On Monday Evening, September 10 at 7:30 PM The Brookfield Museum located at 165 Whisconier Road (Junction of Routes 25 and 133) Brookfield, CT, will host a power point presentation and book signing on the historical novel A Journey to the Gallows. The work co-authored by the two presenters Thomas Coletti and Victor Butsch, tells the story of Aaron Dwight Stevens, a tumultuous, ill tempered, zealous and noble, young man who is for some an American Hero often overlooked. Hailing from Norwich, CT, Stevens acted on his convictions, adventured near and far, and ultimately, woke the nation up to the start of a new chapter in America's history- The end of slavery. The work reveals the realistic tales of his journey through the War against Mexico serving with the Dragoons, Bloody Kansas, the love of two women, and the destined conclusion at Harper's Ferry as he stood side by side with his leader John Brown.. The work focuses on Steven’s beliefs, and the unwavering devotion of his fellow abolitionists.

Admission to the event is free and complimentary refreshments will be available.
