How did you come up with the name?

It’s a family name

Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?

I looked in other areas and found this spot in a fairly new building in 1986.

Briefly, what business are you in? Records, CDs, Posters, etc.

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a businessowner?

The economy and downloading of music.

Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?

No. I’ve been selling records since I was a teenager. I could not imagine doing anything else.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

Bringing in my son to work with me, having customers in their 20s whose parents shopped here when they were children.

What’s the most innovative idea your employees or customers have had that you put into practice?

Evolving our online presence to make more people aware of us.

How do you deal with difficult customers?

With them with as much patience as possible. In 30 plus years in retail I’ve seen it all.

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

We support local events and help to promote area musicians and live music.
