Brookfield VFW Commander, Joseph C. Beal, appointed Aide-de-Camp

Joseph C. Beal, Commander of the Jason D. Lewis Brookfield Memorial Veterans of Foreign War Post 10201, has recently received an honorary appointment as the Aide-de-Camp to VFW National Commander-in-Chief, B. J. Lawrence

In announcing the appointment, VFW Adjutant Kevin Jones noted Beal’s selection came as a result of “…. his outstanding service to both his Post and Regional Department going above and beyond the call of duty”. In this capacity he will assist the Commander in promoting VFW National Programs

Beal completed a successful 22-year career in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. During his Air Force career he held numerous leadership positions, a majority of these assignments were in the United State’s military space programs. He was assigned to Air Force Space Command’s Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO and eventually selected for a leadership role in the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) where he managed NORAD’s command section. Beal was also on the initial team that established the U.S. Northern Command, at the direction of President, following the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, 2001. His long Air Force career also included assignments in a Strategic Air Command Bombardment Wing and a posting at the U.S. Consulate in Melbourne, Australia.

Since assuming his leadership position as the Brookfield VFW Post Commander in 2017 , the Organization has tripled its membership and has successfully initiated multiple outreach programs which have been established with the community of Brookfield, its regional schools and local Brookfield residents currently deployed with the military overseas.
