Brookfield VFW Post Member Appointed as National Aide-de-Camp
John Kennedy of the Jason D. Lewis Brookfield Memorial VFW Post Receives Honorary Recognition by the National VFW Organization
On September 1, 2020, John Kennedy, Post Adjutant of the Jason D. Lewis Brookfield Memorial VFW Post and Senior Vice Commander in Connecticut’s District One was named as the Aide-de-Camp to Veterans of Foreign Wars National Commander-in-Chief Hal Roesch. The honorary appointment was bestowed as a result of Kennedy’s outstanding service rendered to each of these organizations.
Kennedy, a member of the Danbury Fire Department, has been a leading figure in gaining new membership for the Brookfield Post and has championed numerous outreach programs that have benefited the community and garnered recognition from the Town of Brookfield as well as the State of Connecticut’s VFW Headquarters.
He is also a member and Secretary of the VFW Connecticut Riders Motorcycle organization fostering biking safety among area cyclists.
