Brookfield Youth Becomes an Eagle Scout
Rory John Hanlon Fitton, a member of Boy Scout Troop 5, has been awarded as an Eagle Scout in Brookfield.

From Boy Scout Troop 5:
Rory has earned his award as a member of BSA Troop 5, Brookfield. His service project involved designing, raising funds for, and installing Stations of the Cross at St. Marguerite Church, Brookfield. He worked with the church parish and coordinated with a contractor to fill in an existing pond and backfill the property. After installing the Stations, he cleaned and landscaped the entire area. Under his leadership, Rory garnered a team of fellow Troop 5 members as well as family and church folks to do the necessary work. The project has added to the beauty and sanctity of the church grounds. As part of recent visit to the parish, Bishop Frank Caggiano blessed the newly completed project.
A 2015 Brookfield High School graduate, Rory is currently a general studies student at Western Connecticut State University. While at BHS, Rory was in honors math and sciences and took AP physics in his senior year. For 4 years he was on the robotics team and has served as business team leader.
