BROOKFIELD, CT – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows happening around Brookfield so you can start planning now.
The nearest venues will be in Danbury, and neither one will be on July 4, but both celebrations promise to be huge!
The City of Danbury, along with the Danbury Volunteer Fire Department, has scheduled their annual Independence Day firework display on Candlewood Lake for Saturday, June 29 (rain date Sunday, June 30). Join your neighbors in Danbury Bay to celebrate our nation’s independence! Fireworks will commence at dusk.

And then, at the Danbury Fair Mall SummerStage Fireworks Show and Block Party on Wednesday, July 3 (rain date Friday, July 5) celebrate it all over again at the summer party of the year! The event begins at 6 p.m. in the overflow lot with live bands, beer and food trucks, and more!
To kick-off the event, After Hours, a local band from Western Connecticut State University will perform from 6-8 p.m. Then local favorite One Stop Pony Band will perform until 10 p.m. Fireworks go off at dusk.
