Brookfield's Weather Forecast Includes Wind Advisory, Chance of Rain and Snow

Gusty winds could cause power outages the National Weather Service cautions, and by the weekend snowflakes are even possible.

BROOKFIELD, CT-- Another interesting week of weather in the works for Connecticut. A Wind Advisory has been issued for the entire state, and we’re looking at several days of showers in the work week forecast.

And, then all of a sudden Mother Nature has seemingly decided that on Sunday it should be winter again and temps will struggle to hit 40 degrees, and some snow showers are even possible, WTNH News 8 reports. Welcome to April!

A Wind Advisory is in effect for southern Connecticut from 5 p.m. today to 6 p.m. Tuesday as winds will be gusting 20-30 mph with occasional gusts up to 50 mph.

Here is a detailed look at the forecast over the next seven days via the National Weather Service:

Monday: Rain will fall off and on throughout Monday, producing up to half an inch of rain. Temps near 50 degrees. Windy, especially as the day proceeds and overnight.

  • Monday night: Partly cloudy and temps in the upper 30s.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny with temps in the low 50s, more windy conditions.
  • Tuesday night: Lows near the freezing mark.
  • Wednesday: Sunny with temps in the low to mid 50s.
  • Wednesday night: Temps near 40 degrees.
  • Thursday: Clouds and showers, temps near 60 degrees.
  • Thursday night: More showers temps remain in the low 50s.
  • Friday: Cloudy and showers early with temps near 60 degrees.
  • Saturday: Sunny with temps in the low to mid 50s.
  • Sunday: Temps in the upper 30s.
