Brookhaven PD and Target to Host 'Shop with a Badge' Event for Kids

From the Brookhaven Police Department: This event has been made possible with the proceeds from the 2016 Brookhaven Police Hot-Pursuit 5K. Saturday, December 10, 2016 the Brookhaven Police will host its third annual Shop with a Badge event to help children from the surrounding areas to purchase holiday gifts for themselves and their families.

During the in-store shopping event, the children are paired with police officers and other public safety professionals who will help in picking out holiday gifts for the kids’ families. The participating children were referred to the program with the assistance of the Brookhaven Boys and Girls Club.

The Brookhaven Police Department, Chattahoochee River 9-1-1 Authority, Target Store Team Leader and Ziggy Asfaw from the Boy’s and Girl’s Club will be available to provide brief remarks during the in-store shopping event.

The event will take place at Target, 2400 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, GA. 30329 and it will start promptly at 7:00 A.M. on the morning of Saturday, December 10, 2016.
